Jaromír Meduna was born in 1953 in Prague. After he graduated from the Prague Academy of Performing Arts, he joined the Petr Bezruč theatre in Ostrava in 1977. Subsequently he was a member of the theaters in Příbram and Liberec and in 1986 he joined the Prague City Theaters for the next 21 years. From 2008 to 2015 Jaromir Meduna worked at the Vinohrady theater. Now he is a freelancer and continues to work in the Viola theater. In addition to the theater work he also regularly appears on television, radio and focuses on dubbing and artistic recitation. He received the František Filipovský Award for dubbing and Crystal Rose of Poděbrady for recitation.
