GLI INCOGNITI TELEMANN / HÄNDEL

Programme

The French ensemble Gli Incogniti, led by the brilliant violinist Amandine Beyer, ranks among the world’s leading exponents of historically informed performance. Their concert in Stará Bělá offers an encounter between two giants of the Baroque – Georg Philipp Telemann and Georg Friedrich Handel – in a chamber setting that reveals the full subtlety of their musical language. The programme features a selection of trio sonatas and quartets, concertos and solo works, showcasing both Beyer’s violin and Manuel Granatiero’s flauto traverso. Within the intimate setting of the Church of St John of Nepomuk, an atmosphere will emerge in which French precision meets Italian charm and German Baroque nobility.
