Martina Juríková

Martina Juríková has been the conductor of the Permoník Concert Choir and the mixed adult choir Friends of Permoník since the 2016/2017 season. She also teaches solo and chamber singing at the Bedřich Smetana Primary Art School in Karviná. She has been singing in Permoník since her childhood and later decided to combine her professional life with it. She studied solo singing and choral conducting at the Janáček Conservatory in Ostrava. She continued her studies at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Ostrava in the vocal class of Prof. Klemens Słowioczek and Prof. Eliška Pappová. Her lifelong role model and source of greatest inspiration (not only in music) is Mrs Eva Šeinerová, founder and artistic director of the Permoník Choir Karviná. She is a member of the female vocal quartet Quadricinium. In 2020 Martina Juríková was awarded the František Lýska Prize by the Union of Czech Choirs and the Lýska Foundation.
