Capella da camera Praga

Capella da camera Praga was founded by Lukas Verner and his friends from the studies, who are now mostly the first players of Prague Symphony Orchestra – FOK. With them and other friends across Europe, they dedicate themselves to performing chamber music of various musical styles, and the cast of the ensemble, which has performed, for example, in Italy, Germany or Spain, also adapts to this.

On period instruments, the ensemble performs not only Zelenka’s trio sonatas in the production of Sergio Azzolini, but in the past, for example, Bach’s complete Orchestral Suites, Brandenburg Concertos or Handel’s Water Music, Music for the Royal Fireworks, Concerti grossi. On the modern romantic instruments the ensemble has performed, for example, The Four Seasons by A. Vivaldi and Astor Piazzolla with the concertmaster of PSO Roman Patočka.

Members of Capella da camera Praga are players who have a close relationship to musical life in the Czech lands but are so-called amphibious and perfectly master not only romantic but also baroque instruments.
