Claire Antoine

The young French lyric soprano Claire Antoine started her career in 2022 with debut roles at the Opéra Royal de La Monnaie in Brussels and the Opéra Royal de Wallonie in Liège.

In Brussels she sang the role of Lady Clarence and was cover for Catherine D’Aragon in Saint-Saëns’ Henry VIII, directed by Olivier Py and conducted by Alain Altinoglu. In Liège she performed the role of Madame Lidoine in Poulenc’s Dialogues des Carmélites conducted by Speranza Scappucci. At the Opéra de Lille she was Ida in Die Fledermaus by Strauss in a production by Laurent Pelly. From 2021 to 2023 she was a member of the opera studio at the Dutch National Opera in Amsterdam where she performed the roles of First Girl in Zemlinsky’s Der Zwerg, Dido in Purcell’s Dido & Aeneas and the understudy of Micaëla in Bizet’s Carmen.

Prior to that she studied singing at the conservatoire of Toulouse and the CNSMD of Lyon with Mireille Delunsch, Sylvie Leroy and Hélène Lucas. In 2021 Claire Antoine was awarded Talent Adami Classique and in 2023-2024 she has been invited to join the Génération Opéra program for young talents.

In recent years she has appeared in recitals at the Amsterdam Concertgebouw, in Scène Émergeante at the festival of Chorégies d’Orange and at the opera house of Limoges.

Among her future projects are the roles of Minerve and Une Suivante d’Hébé in Rameau’s Castor et Pollux at Opéra National de Paris and at the Salzburger Festspiele, as well as Liù in Puccini’s Turandot at the Opéra d’Avignon.
