Jana Sibera

Jana Sibera, the soloist of The National Theatre Opera Prague, is one of the most sought-after interpreters of the soprano roles in the Czech Republic. She graduated from the Prague Conservatory and the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. She is a permanent guest of the National Moravian-Silesian Theatre in Ostrava, but performs as a guest on all Czech operatic scenes. In 2017, she was nominated for the Thalia Award for the role of Ophelie, the role she successfully sang also in Gothenburg opera house. In 2022, she was awarded the Thalia Award for the best singer in the opera category for the role of Manon in Massenet´s opera at the National Moravian-Silesian Theatre in Ostrava. She regularly appears in the roles of Violetta, Susanna, Gilda, Lucia di Lammermoor, Julliette, Ophelie, The Cunning Little Vixen, Terinka, Blaženka, Mařenka, Manon, Candide, Dona Anna, Micaela, and Maria in Donizetti´s opera La fille du regiment, and many others.In November 2022 she performered Violetta in the National opera Dublin. She also collaborates with all major orchestras in the Czech Republic and worked with many renowned conductors e.g. Marco Armiliato, Jiří Bělohlávek, Jan Latham Koenig, Marco Guidarini. She has toured in Japan with the National Theatre Prague several times. Jana Sibera was invited to sing as the only guest with Jonas Kaufmann on his profile CD for Decca.
