Martin Vacula studied singing at the Institute for Artistic Studies of the University of Ostrava in the class of Mgr. Michael Kozelský. From 2003 to 2008, he further refined his vocal technique through private studies with the baritone Václav Zítek.
In 2003, he became a member of the opera chorus of the National Theatre in Prague, and from 2007 until April 2013 he sang with the Prague Philharmonic Choir. Since 2013, he has worked as a freelance artist, focusing primarily on the interpretation of Baroque music.
Since 2010, he has been a permanent member of Collegium Vocale 1704 under the direction of Václav Luks. He also regularly collaborates with ensembles such as Ensemble Inégal, Czech Ensemble Baroque, Collegium Marianum, Capella Mariana, Ensemble Damian, Czech Ensemble Baroque Quintet, Il Cuore Barocco, Musica cum gaudio, Victoria Ensemble, and is a founding member of the chamber choir Martinů Voices.
