Risonanza Praga

The Risonanza Praga orchestra is a new ensemble that builds on Ondřej Šindelář’s collaboration with musicians from the ensembles Opus Elocutio, Harmoniemusik Sesto, and other groups in the so-called “early music” scene. This time, it will present itself in conjunction with the bassoonist and virtuoso Sergio Azzolini. The focus of this ensemble’s repertoire targets instrumental music of the 18th and 19th centuries. In 2025, a CD featuring works for bassoon and orchestra by Czech composers from the 18th century will be released by the Supraphon label. The concept of the ensemble is to project basic natural forces into the interpretation of music, such as gravity, inertia, and interaction alongside the rhetoric and its gestures.
