Plaisirs de Musique
Founded in 2013, the ensemble Plaisirs de Musique is specialized in authentic performance of early music on period instruments. The projects of Plaisirs de Musique are realized under the artistic direction of Jan Čižmář. Its members are leading European professional musicians specializing in early music, as well as singers and experts in the field of historical dance and theatre.
The programme offer includes a broad spectrum of projects ranging from chamber music to orchestra settings. The artistic work is inspired primarily through new discoveries in music archives and seeks an attractive combination of music with other art forms. Members of the ensemble are also engaged actively in educational activities.
The ensemble Plaisirs de Musique performs at major music festivals, as well as private or corporate events. In addition, each year the group produces a series of concerts with newly staged concert programmes and also engages in recording activities.
