Saša Rašilov

He studied at the music and drama department of the Prague Conservatory (with Prof. Helena Lehká-Rejšková) and then (1990-94) acting at DAMU with Prof. Luboš Pistorius and Jiří Adamíra). In the years 1991-94, he already played in Boris Hybner’s GAG Studio (Al in the trilogy At the End of the Garden Named Hollywood) and from 1994 to 2002 he was a member of the Prague Comedy Theater (Student Arkenholz in Spirit Sonata, Semiramis in Dceři vichřice, Andrej Prozorov in Three sisters, Demetrius in A Midsummer Night’s Dream). He also guested on other stages (at the E.F. Buriana Theater: Nicolas in Ardele, at the Kašpar Spolk: Leopold in the Educator and the titular Clavijo, at the Na žábradlí Theater: Přítel at JE SuiS, with his wife Vanda Hybnerová he realized four author and director projects: Carousel, Pokus Pes or Potwor and Chair in the Theater in Řeznická and Last Two Cigarettes in the Ponec Theater).

He played Tomáš, Duke of Clarence in Shakespeare’s King Henry IV for the first time during his studies (1988) with the National Theater Drama ensemble. He has been a regular member of the National Theater Drama since 2002. In 2003, he won the František Filipovský award for the best male acting performance in dubbing.
