Soprano Veronika Dzhioeva was born in South Ossetia. In 2005 she graduated from the Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory in St. Petersburg, where she studied with Tamara Novichenko. She participated in master classes with Jelena Obrazcovová, Joan Sutherland and Luciano Pavarotti. Her international career began with the Marie Callas Singing Competition in Athens in 2005, where she won third prize. In 2006, her performance of Fiordiligi (Mozart: Così fan tutte) at the Moscow International House of Music was named “Debut of the Year” by the Russian magazine Kultura. In her homeland, Veronika Dzhioeva is a leading soloist at the Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet Theater and a regular guest at the Moscow Bolshoi Theater and the St. Petersburg Mariinsky Theater. He performs regularly in Europe, the USA and Asia, both in opera houses and on concert stages. He collaborates with important conductors (Valery Gergiev, Mikhail Pletnev, Yuri Basmet, Mariss Jansons, Trevor Pinnock, Vladimir Spivakov) and famous singers (Anna Netrebko and Sergei Leiferkus).
