Jiří Kotača & Alf Carlsson, recipients of the 2024 Anděl Award for Best Jazz Album of the Year, bring their project Our Stories to the unique setting of the Tatra Truck Museum. The quartet’s music is built on strong melodic expression, the energy of modern jazz and the personal musical storytelling of each ensemble member.

With his clear, singing trumpet tone, Jiří Kotača creates a natural sonic focal point, while Swedish guitarist Alf Carlsson adds space, colour and lyrical perspective to the compositions. Peter Korman moves confidently between double bass and electric bass with dynamic sensitivity, and drummer Kristián Kuruc maintains both a solid groove and subtle detail. The album Our Stories presents four distinct musical personalities united by a shared aesthetic, jazz openness and the joy of making music together. The concert offers the vibrant atmosphere of today’s European jazz scene at its most dynamic.
