Grażyna Biernot

Grażyna Biernot studied solo singing at the Institute for artistic studies at University of Ostrava under the guidance of Doc. Drahomíra Míčková. She then continued her education studying Baroque and Song interpreting at the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wroclaw, Poland, under the guidance of prof. Piotor Łykowski. 

Already during her studies, she collaborated externally with the opera ensemble of the Moravian-Silesian National Theatre in Ostrava and was a member and soloist of the Adash chamber choir, Przyjaźń.

Since 2006 she has been a member of the Prague Philharmonic Choir, which is one of the most renowned Czech professional vocal ensembles and collaborates with prestigious orchestras in the Czech Republic and in the world.

Grażyna Biernot is also a co-founder of the Martinů Voices Chamber Choir, which has been active on the Czech and foreign music scene since 2010. Since its foundation, Martinů Voices is a regular guest of the Czech music festivals such as Prague Spring, Dvořák’s Prague, Strings of Autumn, St. Wenceslas Music Festival or Lípa Musica.

In the concert sphere she focuses on cantatas and songs, especially of Baroque masters, and contemporary music. Among her other valuable experiences are concerts with the Hradec Králové Philharmonic, the Karlovy Vary Symphony Orchestra, the Pilsen Philharmonic and the Lower Silesian Philharmonic Jelenia Góra, Poland. In her career, Grażyna had also collaborated with the baroque ensembles Collegium Vocale 1704 and The Czech Ensemble Baroque.
