He was born in Krakow in 1959 and graduated from the State Music High School. In 1973 he began to study the organ privately and then continued his studies at the Academy of Music in Krakow in the class of Prof. Joachim Grubich. In 1981 he won the first prize at the International Organ Competition in Rome and in 1985 the first prize (ex aequo) at the National Organ Competition in Bydgoszcz – Gdańsk
He took part in most national organ festivals and gave concerts in England, Austria, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Croatia, Denmark, France, Iceland, Germany, Slovakia, Switzerland, Sweden, Ukraine, Hungary, Italy, Lebanon and America. He is a professor of music. He teaches organ at the Academy of Performing Arts in Krakow as a full professor and at the Władysław Żeleński State Music School, 2nd level, in Krakow. He works with many ensembles, such as the Krakow Philharmonic and the National Philharmonic. In the Jubilee Year 2000, he made a lasting impression on music lovers by performing the organ works of J.S. Bach in Krakow and Wroclaw, and in the 2001/2002 season he presented an anthology of organ music from the 16th to 20th centuries in Krakow in a series of 20 concerts under the joint title “Ars organi”.
His extensive and ever-expanding repertoire covers all styles and includes a collection of organ works by composers such as Buxtehude, Bruhns, Mendelssohn, Franck, Liszt and Brahms. Many of his recordings have enriched the portfolio of Polish Radio II; he has over 20 CDs to his credit. In 2006 he was awarded the Silver Medal for Merits in Culture – Gloria Artis by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage.
