Marie Vrbová graduated from the Faculty of Education at Masaryk University. During her studies, she studied solo singing under the guidance of Ludmila Fialová, and continued to improve her singing skills with opera singer Pavla Vykopalová.
As a soloist, she performed with several Czech and foreign orchestras – Beethoven Orchestra Bonn, Bochumer Symphoniker, Hradec Králové Philharmonic, Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic, Moravian Philharmonic Olomouc, South Bohemian Philharmonic, Chamber Philharmonic Pardubice, Czech Virtuosi, Czech Chamber Soloists, Graff Quartet, etc. She performed under the baton of Steven Sloan, Dirk Kaftan, Roland Kluttig, Robert Kružík, Stanislav Vavřínek, Petr Fiala, Petr Chromčák, Tomáš Hanák etc. She performed at music festivals such as Prague Spring, St. Wenceslas Music Festival, Antonín Dvořák Music Festival in Příbram, Bohuslav Martinů Days Prague, Music Festival in Prague etc.
As a long-time soloist of the Czech Philharmonic Choir Brno, she has appeared on the creation of several CDs with choral work released by leading Czech music labels. An interesting recent experience for her was the role of the first wife of composer Jan Kapr in the film KaprKód directed by Lucie Králové, which won the main prize at the International Documentary Film Festival in Jihlava and The Czech Film Critics Award for the best documentary of 2022.
