The „Petr Fiala’s Oratorios“ concert will present three modern works by Petr Fiala – The Song of Sister Agnes and Brother Francis, Homage to Jan Sarkander and The Baptism of Saint Ludmila – composed to texts by Zuzana Nováková Renčová. The program, intended for a reciter, soloists and a mixed choir accompanied by an organ or chamber orchestra, will depict the dramatic and contemplative dimension of Czech spiritual themes. The Czech Philharmonic Choir Brno under its choirmaster Petr Fiala will evoke emotional depth and color, complemented by distinctive solo performances and a rich compositional language.
