The Ellaboration project brings together the voice of one of the most distinctive Czech singers, Dasha, with the instrumental imagination of Epoque Quartet, whose members are renowned for crossing genre boundaries with ease and elegance. The inspiration is the legend Ella Fitzgerald and her unmistakable jazz repertoire, which arranger Alexej Aslamas expands into new colors and sonic structures. The string quartet, enriched by the complex percussion of Šimon Veselý (hang drum, vibraphone, cajón), creates a sound world where jazz blends with classical music, world music, and sophisticated pop. Here, Dasha reveals another facet of her voice – more intimate, playful, and improvisationally free. Ellaboration is both a musical tribute and a fresh reinterpretation: a journey toward Ella Fitzgerald through contemporary Czech creativity.
